Chiang Joon-Arn
Head, FIR-ST™ Corporate Ventures
Mr Chiang Joon-Arn joined Straits Developments Private Limited as the Head of FIR-ST™ Corporate Ventures in 2022. He is responsible for the Company’s corporate venture building activities and is currently focused on FIR-ST™ (Fractionalised Investment Real estate by Straits Trading), an innovative real-estate investment mechanism.
Before joining Straits Trading, Mr Chiang was the Managing Partner at Ernst & Young's (EY) Asia-Pacific Financial Accounting Advisory Services, a consulting business. His roots are in the audits and capital raising for US listings. He volunteers as a director and treasurer on the board of Caregiver’s Alliance Limited and previously volunteered as a director on the board of the Action Community for Entrepreneurship (SG) and the Sustainable Innovation & Investment Global Network (ESG).
Mr Chiang graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance (1st Class Honours) from the University of Western Australia. He is also a Fellow Chartered Accountant (ISCA), Fellow CPA (CPA Australia), US CPA (Illinois), Chartered Global Management Accountant (American Institute of CPAs), and Qualified Singapore Listed Entity Director.
Ryan Wong
Lead, FIR-ST™ Corporate Ventures
Mr Ryan Wong joined Straits Developments Private Limited as Lead of FIR-ST™ Corporate Ventures in 2024 to focus on growing and scaling FIR-ST™ alongside J.A.
Ryan has been an entrepreneur for most of his working life, with his original venture being in agriculture technology and having built a 10 acre prototype farm in Johor, Malaysia. The venture had the goal of piloting ecological engineering for large-scale agriculture. After exiting from the agri-tech venture, he joined Trive, a venture capital firm as a Venture Partner performing many functions, including sourcing and vetting deals, fund raising and consulting for startups. Just before joining Straits Trading, Ryan was starting an entire new branch of the venture capital, a venture studio directly founding new startups.
